The German Design Awards are the premium prize of the German Design Council. With its global scope and international appeal, it is one of the most prestigious awards in the design landscape across all industries. The "Gold" distinction of the German Design Awards is the highest honour awarded for an excellent, holistic and innovative design achievement. Gold award winners provide outstanding and important impulses for entire industries.

With a consistent brand approach, RAL COLOURS has developed into a leading global supplier of colour design products over the past decades. We are very pleased that this market position has once again been confirmed by the German Design Council on the occasion of the book presentation "The Major German Brands".

A very special award for RAL FARBEN. The award is presented by a selected jury. The Zeit publishing house plays a decisive role in this. Before this special award is given, the brand is evaluated. RAL FARBEN has established itself as the colour standard. We are particularly proud of this fact.

The German Design Award has existed for over 40 years and is a design authority. Many major brands are pleased to receive this award. The award is presented annually and typically results in a beautiful award ceremony. We have been awarded several times, not only for various books, but also for tools around the topic of colour design. This includes the RAL Starter Kit.

Design Intelligence Award (DIA) is the first international academic award in industrial design established in 2015 by the highly respected China Academy of Art. Created to celebrate innovators and entrepreneurs’ imagination and inventiveness. DIA aims to provide a platform to accelerate international trade, increase connectivity and open up commercial opportunities for enterprises.

The most famous design award, not only throughout Germany but also internationally. RAL FARBEN once received this award for the colour measuring device Colorcatch Nano, which has meanwhile been taken off the market. The design of the Nano was appreciated as well as the simplicity of handling.
