NEUDORF DISTRICT - STRASBOURG

In Strasbourg's Neudorf district, the Parisian architectural office LAN has designed an urban development highlight. The urban quarter fits perfectly into its surroundings and demonstrates a combination of individuality and belonging. The choice of colour, which is based on the current environment, historic buildings and districts, plays a decisive role.
The eight buildings were completed at the beginning of 2021. Now they shine in RAL 5013 Cobalt blue, RAL 5011 Steel blue, RAL 7004 Signal grey, RAL 6028 Pine green, RAL 6034 Pastel turquoise, RAL 1020 Olive yellow, RAL 3015 Light pink, RAL 6021 Pale green, RAL 8015 Chestnut brown and RAL 1018 Zinc yellow and include apartments, offices, commercial space and a hotel.

Albert-Schweitzer-School in Hanover

When redesigning the Albert-Schweitzer-School in Hanover, Hamburger Creatyfy used the RAL DESIGN colours RAL 290 70 20 Blossom mauve, RAL 100 80 70 LED green, RAL 340 70 35 Firm pink und RAL 080 80 60 Full yellow. Hamburger Creatyfy designs new colour concepts and colour guide systems for children and teenagers as well as signposting and orientation systems for schools.

ArcelorMittal Orbit

Since 2012, the ArcelorMittal Orbit, a red sculpture, has rised into the sky at the Olympic Park in London.
Thanks to the colour RAL 3003 Ruby red, it can be seen from afar. 2000 tons of steel, 60% of which is made from recycled steel, coil around itself in tubular form and spiral up to almost 115 metres. This makes the ArcelorMittal Orbit the tallest sculpture in Great Britain.
Since 2016, the longest tunnel slide in the world "The Slide" with a length of 178 meters has circled the sculpture a total of 12 times.

City Gate Bremen

The City Gate Bremen, opposite the historic train station, impresses with a very special colour scheme. This was created by Nathalie Pagels, Pagels-Farbkonzepte, and is based on four subject areas that reflect the city of Bremen: research & technology, shipping, coffee and trade.
The selected colours all come from the RAL DESIGN SYSTEM plus and, together with the icon designed for the subject area, ensure orientation within the building, identification of the visitors and at the same time increase the feel-good factor and joy.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

One of the largest metal roofs in the world was painted in RAL 9006 White aluminum in addition to the typical Ferrari red.
More than 231,000 m2 of metal, over 900 tons of weight and over 100,000 litres of paint were used for the roof of the Ferrari World amusement park in Abu Dhabi. The roof system was produced by the Interfalz company from Oranienburg, Germany, and, with an area of over 50 football pitches, is the largest space frame in the world. The amusement park opened in 2010.

NBK Keramik

Central St. Giles is the colourful urban highlight on London's Oxford Street. The façades was designed by Renzo Piano and consists of 140,000 ceramic elements in six different colours: RAL 070 70 80 Saffron gold, RAL 050 50 70 Poppy red, RAL 050 50 78 Persian orange, RAL 000 75 00 Marble grey, RAL 110 60 50 Airline green and RAL 7035 Light grey. The building is home to Google UK.
